Contribute to the Dayton Music Club

The purpose of the Dayton Music Club Scholarship is to encourage the musical growth of students in grades 7-12. To ensure this, the monetary awards must be used for some type of music camp or workshop, OR for private lessons in the area of the audition. Additionally, some monetary awards may be given to high school seniors who have been accepted into an undergraduate music degree program.

Scholarship Audition information

Auditions will be held March 9, 2022, and the Winners’ Recital is scheduled for March 20, 2022. Some students may be selected to play for the Scholarship Benefit Recital on May 1, 2022.

Please help us in our mission to nurture and support young, developing musicians. Your tax-deductible donation to our scholarships fund will play a major part in continuing the music education of Dayton music students!

Donations can be made in any amount, and will be recognized in our annual yearbook in the following support levels:

Superstar ($500+)

 Virtuoso ($300-$499)

 Advanced ($150-$299)

 Friend ($50-$149)

 Supporter ($10-$49)

This recital features the best students of our Dayton Music Club teachers, up through grade 12. Members of the DMC who pay their annual dues by June 30 may choose up to three of their students to audition for this recital. Performers for this recital will be chosen by a team of judges, whose decisions are final. Soloists (vocal, instrumental, piano) may audition. Small ensembles may also audition, though each student in the ensemble must be a student of a DMC member.

Auditions are closed at this time. Our next auditions are November/December 2023.

All students are welcome and encouraged to join one of the affiliated Junior Music Clubs. Membership affords young musicians the opportunity for expanding their experience, knowledge and leadership ability in the music field.
