Music Scholarships

The purpose of the Dayton Music Club Scholarship is to encourage the musical growth of students in grades 7-12. To ensure this, the monetary awards must be used for some type of music camp or workshop, OR for private lessons in the area of the audition. Additionally, some monetary awards may be given to high school seniors who have been accepted into an undergraduate music degree program.

Scholarships Auditions 2024 are scheduled for Monday, March 4, 2024, from 3:00-8:00 pm and the Winners’ Recital is scheduled for March 10, 2024 from 3:00-5:00 pm. Some students may be selected to play for the Scholarship Benefit Recital on May 5, 2024.

JUNIOR MUSIC CLUBS

The Dayton Music Club is committed to enhancing music education opportunities for developing musicians. Each year, the club awards several scholarships for young students furthering their musical training. These students are honored at the annual Winners’ Recital and are invited to perform for the club members and Dayton community.

In order for students to audition for performance or scholarship opportunities, he/she must study with a member of The Dayton Music Club.

DMC Membership offers active teachers opportunities to motivate and encourage their students through performance and scholarship. All students are welcome and encouraged to join one of the affiliated Junior Music Clubs. Membership affords young musicians the opportunity for expanding their experience, knowledge and leadership ability in the music field.
