Club Membership
The Dayton Music Club offers two categories of membership: General and Performing. All members enjoy the privileges of the club, including the right to vote and hold office.
Performing membership offers the opportunity to perform for monthly musicales and special events. It is important that all members wishing to be Performing Members either audition or provide appropriate credentials regarding their performance abilities to the DMC Audition Committee. Those members who hold advanced degrees (masters or doctoral) in their performance area need not audition. Those with an undergraduate degree in music or who do not have a degree but possess extensive performance experience should provide documentation of their performances including printed programs, certificates, evidence of media recognition, and the like. All other applicants must perform a short audition fulfilling specific audition requirements. Auditions are scheduled at your convenience before an audition committee. Please review the Audition Requirements for a performing membership. The audition may be waived in appropriate cases.
General Members support the club with their time, service and by attending the wonderful variety of programs offered throughout the year. General members include both musicians and non-musicians.
